Barbara Eiswerth, the founder of Ikashitaa Refugee Network, joined our very own Chef Roger to showcase products locally produced from the harvested crops in Tucson. Ikashitaa is a grass roots organization that helps rebuild refugees lives by creating partnerships within the community. The network was originally created to harvest citrus that was going to waste in our community. Years later it is a very successful harvest cleaning program that has expanded to producing local culinary products.
We were treated to some delicious selections made with the products that Barbara shared with Chef Roger, the samples were in high demand!
