What is Thrive Dining? In short, “These are protein-packed meals served as one- or two-bite hors d’oeuvres intended to be eaten by hand,” says Rob Bobbitt, Watermark’s National Director of Dining. Thrive Dining is program designed to restore the dignity and enjoyment of mealtime for individuals with cognitive or physical challenges. “If you’ve lost the ability to use a knife and fork, this is such a great program to compensate for that,” adds Watermark’s Tucson food service director, Chef Pat Caffrey.

But don’t take our word for it. The Fountains at La Cholla and its Chefs, Pat Caffrey and John Luzader, are hosting “Thrive Dining” complimentary public lunches for caregivers and families with those who have cognitive or physical challenges. Lunches feature traditional and Thrive Dining meal comparison tastings and Chef demonstrations. Participants will learn unique Thrive Dining facts and service tips.
